Products advantages

> Product activation time

The extremely short switching on of EFFILUX lights allow an ignition principle pulse / pause and minimum downtime. These pulses are directly controlled by a signal coming into the "DIM" connector (see Synchronizing Camera - Lighting)

Aim :
• Longer life of the lighting
• Opportunity to increase performance

> Camera synchronization - Lighting

All EFFILUX lights can be synchronized with your camera. How? By directly connecting the trigger output on the DIM pin of lighting.

> Consumer of the lightings - Power consumption

The powers consumed by the lights are indicated in the datasheets and the user manuals, or contact us.

> Water resistance («IP»)

On request, EFFILUX lights can be designed waterproof. International Protection Marking (IP) is an international standard of the International Electrotechnical Commission on water resistance. This code ranks the level of protection offered by a material to solids and liquid intrusions. The code format, given by IEC 60529 is IP XX where XX are two digits and / or letter.

INTERNATIONAL PROTECTION MARKING FIRST DIGIT SECOND DIGIT
IP20 2 : protection against the intrusion of solid objects greater than 12 mm 0 : no protection against water splashes
IP44 4: protection against the intrusion of solid objects greater than 1mm 4 : protection against the intrusion of solid objects greater than 1 mm
IP65 6 : total protection against dust 5 : Protection against splashing water with an hose from all directions

The most commonly encountered IP Code are IP20, IP44 and IP65.

IP20 refers to products intended for use exclusively inside, while IP44 and IP65 designate products suitable for outdoor and indoor use.

LEVEL FIRST DIGIT= PROTECTION AGAINST DUST SECOND DIGIT = PROTECTION AGAINST WATER
0 No protection No protection
1 Protected against solid objects greater greater than 50 mm Protected against vertically falling water drops
2 Protected against solid objects greater than 12 mm Protected against water drops falling up to 15 ° from vertical
3 Protected against solid objects greater than 2.5 mm Protected against spraying water up to 60 ° from vertical
4 Protected against solid objects greater than 1 mm Protected against water sprayed from all directions
5 Protected against dust Protected against water jets from all directions with an hose (12.5 mm nozzle, 12.5 l/min)
6 Totally protected against dust Protected against water jets from all directions with an hose (22.5mm nozzle, 100 l/min)
7 - Protected against the effects of immersion (up to 1 m)
8 - Submersible equipment under specified conditions (prolonged immersion) beyond 1 m for 30 minutes
9 - Submersible equipment under specified conditions (prolonged immersion) beyond 1m and protection against high pressure cleaning
9K - Submersible equipment under specified conditions (prolonged immersion) beyond 1m and protection against high pressure cleaning (standard provided for food)

Security

Manufacturer of LED lighting always concerned about the safety of its customers, EFFILUX relies on EN 62471 : 2008, photobiological security of LED lights and appliances using LED lighting.

This standard allows a classification of LED lighting according to risk groups.

In case of direct, repeated and high-power exposure, blue light may cause damage to the eye : toxic effect on the retina, aggravating effect of macular degeneration, glare. These risks are especially important for children because of their greater sensitivity to blue light.

That is why as a manufacturer of LED lighting, EFFILUX must inform its customers of the existence of these risks, even if they are minimal for normal use of its LED lighting.

Risk groups

The standard for photobiological safety of LED lighting EN 62471: 2008 provides a methodology for measurement and classification of risk.

• Risk group 0 : without risk.
• Risk group 1 : low risk. The product does not present a risk of exposure limits in normal conditions of use.
• Risk group 2 : moderate risk. The reflex to look away from the lamp is enough to limit risk.
• Risk group 3 : high risk. The product may present a risk even for momentary or brief exposure.

It is important to note that the level of risk is partly related to the distance between the light source and the eye.

The risk is also related to an exposure time.

The light output and the beam shape are other factors affecting the level of risk.

On request, you can communicate EFFILUX the maximum risk level of its LED lighting.

Recommendations

Whatever the level of risk of the lamp, we recommend :
• not to look directly at a lighted lighting
• to avoid putting the beam of a light in the eyes of another person.
